Amelia nous emmene sur la piste de Fazil qui part dans la Toussaint.
Cerridwen et Pasquier sont deja arrives a la capitale. Ils pensent que Fazil va entrer en Toussaint par la ville de Bosco Rosso (10-15k).
All 4 (Amelia, Cerridwen, Marten, Pasquier) meet in the morning in a former castle turned into an inn.
They met a lady called Anne-Laure who was abducted by a giant owl and dropped dead on a roof.
There were also ghouls who probably ate the heir (Eduardo, 20) of the city. The only remaining member of the royal family is Alice, a granny.
Fazil is supposed to be with a group of 2 dozens bandits pretty well trained and who know the region.
We are greeted by the head of the guards who wants us to work for them and get information about the bandits. But they don't seem to be aware of what happened during the night. The innkeeper is convinced that Anne-Laure left safely during the night.
The guards give us a letter of instructions so we are official inquiring here.
Marten sneaks away and checks for himself on the church's roof. No evidence at all of blood or murder !
We decide to split up, Pasquier goes to sharpen our weapons while the other go to the mausoleum, Cerridwen and Amelia want to look for Arcana traces (Marten distracts the guards who protect the access to the mausoleum and buys them a lot of time).
Fuck the guards !
Amelia picks the lock, Cerridwen goes first to look for traps. They reach the tomb of Sir Claude which has been forced recently. Cerridwen messes a lot with the bones and remaining shield without finding anything relevant. They are interrupted by cleaning ladies and a guard which finally get in. Amelia distract the guard with the illusion of a granny screaming, but they get caught and questioned and then taken into custody (despite Amelia's attempt to magically suggest they go look somewhere else).
Back at the weapon shop, Pasquier follows a strange black kitten who leads him to a dark alley in a dead end, with an old lady surrounded by candles. (Marten follows from afar) She offers to read our future. She mentions a man with 2 swords on his back (witcher) will kill Pasquier near a cliff.
When they notice their friends missing, after some investigation, Marten decides to get some rest (having walked all night already) and hope they can manage themselves.
At the end of the day, Olivier Deschamps (head of guards) comes to check in the prison and Amelia is very convincing trying to seduce him and give a better story about what happened in the morning. He asks them to leave the city.
We get into the nearby forest at dusk. Pasquier looks for tracks and warns us about the probable presence of bears and drowners near the river, maybe large insects. Marten remembers about rumors of rare monsters (plant things which eat humans and centipedes which hide in ditches). We decide to keep to the bigger roads hoping to avoid the monsters in the depths and to get closer to the bandits.
Pasquier notices fresh tracks of a wheelbarrow a cart pulled by a donkey nearby, coming from a nearby house with a fire outside. There's a strange sign made with glass hanging from a branch. A large dog watches for the sheep and a woman is preparing dinner.
- Who's there at the middle of the night ?
- We're looking for a place to sleep, we're travellers.
She redirects us to an empty house (sort of hunting lodge) while her husband went to bring food to neighbours.
She pretends that the glass is a sign for her husband to find back the house but we don't believe her.
Marten leaves her some food and silver coins. And then comes back to spy on the small family. The husband asks about us when he sees the money.
They're gonna know they're there. If they sleep there, they should be no trouble.
In the empty house, when Pasquier lights a fire, they notice a similar glass sign in the fireplace.
